We have a very limited quantity of 4x4 Post Shields that were either returned, have very slight blemishes, or just simply the wrong packaging. Measurement Guide
4x4 Post Shields are designed to fit the standard 4x4 labeled post. The standard 4x4 post is 3.5" x 3.5". There are few exceptions so please measure your post to verify its size before purchasing. New treated posts are usually wet and swollen from the treatment process, but they will soon dry out and shrink to the 3.5" x 3.5" standard post size.
I looked for years to find something to protect my mailbox post to no avail. I makeshifted a barrier that held for about a year but then our gardener chopped that up. I FINALLY found Post Shields. This product is simply amazing. The video showed me how easy it was to install and it was. Thank you from saving my mailbox post from being chopped down. Love this product!!!!!!

Measure your posts
Hi! This is such a great idea. I was disappointed, however, in your Amazon listing, as it wasn't super-clear that these are for 3.5-inch posts. We have an old installation that uses actual 4x4s and they don't fit. I see here on your actual site "measure your posts". I just want to say--seriously. Measure your posts.

Great Products! Work Perfectly! Easy to Install!
I first bought the shield for my 4x4 mailbox post to keep from taking the paint off while weedwhacking. I later bought the round shield for my lamppost after I repainted it. Both have worked flawlessly! I have now bought both the 4x4 and round shields for my son to use at his house as he prepares to repaint his mailbox and lamp posts.

Making a big maintenance job easier!
We own a farm with a 10 acre pasture with LOTS of wooden fence posts. The string trimmer destroys the posts if they aren’t protected. We’ve tried 2 other products and they shredded after a short time. We just installed over 100 Post Shields. They work great! Very optimistic that they can handle the rigors of farm life 😻
