Measurement Guide

6x6 Post Shields are designed to fit the standard 6x6 labeled post.  The standard 6x6 post is 5.5" x 5.5".  There are few exceptions so please measure your post to verify its size before purchasing.  New treated posts are usually wet and swollen from the treatment process, but they will soon dry out and shrink to the 5.5" x 5.5" standard post size.

Post Shields, shield the base of posts such as mailboxes, fences, decks etc. They are 4 individual shields that slide together to cover and protect existing or new posts from string trimmers and other lawn care equipment. They install in seconds with no tools necessary and their visually pleasing design adds a luxurious and finished look while saving time and money on unneeded maintenance.

You can now affordably protect your posts and maintain the beauty of your home with Post Shields. If your posts have already taken a beating, you can use Post Shields to cover and immediately stop further destruction

Saves 6x6 post from home damage in patio.

The Shield arrived the other day, and I love the look; however, it has been raining so much lately that they have not been installed yet. Hopefully, I will be able to write a complete review after installation.

They Look Great

We ordered 6x6 and 4x4 post shields. They all went on painted posts. We put on the 6x6 shields first and a couple of them
were quite difficult to get on. The 4x4 post shields went on very easily. They look great and will do the job we bought them for.
Thanks for this product.

awesome product but hard to install on painted posts

Overall the product is great and it appears it will do its job and last a longtime. My posts are 5.5" but have about 3 coats of paint on them, which made the install process extremely difficult. The last piece wouldn't slide down into place, but I was able to snap it into place with a lot of effort and a mallet. Now that they are in place they look awesome, but wish they were a little bigger or have known that the paint would be a issue.

GREAT Post Shields

They worked well. Now the landscapers can no longer tear up my deck
