Post Shields, shield the base of posts such as mailboxes, fences, decks etc. They are 4 individual shields that join together to cover and protect existing or new posts from string trimmers and other lawn care equipment. They install in seconds with no tools necessary and their visually pleasing design adds a luxurious and finished look while saving time and money on unneeded maintenance.
You can now affordably protect your posts and maintain the beauty of your home with Post Shields. If your posts have already taken a beating, you can use Post Shields to cover and immediately stop further destruction
4x4 Post Shields are designed to fit the standard 4x4 labeled post. The standard 4x4 post is 3.5" x 3.5". There are few exceptions so please measure your post to verify its size before purchasing. New treated posts are usually wet and swollen from the treatment process, but they will soon dry out and shrink to the 3.5" x 3.5" standard post size.
Great service. Remains to be seen if it will stand up to a weed cutter. My lawn has not been cut since it was installed. Might make sense if a screw was provided for each side so stability is guaranteed.
We have a white painted post and no matter how often we repaint, it looks terrible after the first weed whacker attack. I tried to find pvc angle stock to make my own post protector but the local home stores didn't stock any. I turned to the internet and sure enough, someone invented a product perfect for my needs. It installed in less than a minute and I didn't even have to repaint the post as it hides all the damage.
Just what my new fence needs
These post surrounds are easy to install and appear to be quite rugged. I haven't used a weedeater on one yet, but they appear to be sturdy enough to protect the fence posts well. I do wish they were less expensive.
4X4 Post Shield
Customer services was great. I got my order the next day. I ordered one 4X4 shield for an HOA. I have 20+ more posts to protect but I wanted to check out the product first. Seems to be well made. Super easy to assemble. I want to see how it holds up before ordering more I wonder if a 4x4 that is 6 inches high might be a better option as most lawn care companies are in to speed, not quality. My current posts have been damaged even higher up than the shield protects.
